Change brings opportunities
mom·pre·neur (noun) /mämprəˈnər/:
a woman who sets up and runs her own business in addition to caring for her young child or children.
A growing family and business.
The power of change.
I am a freelance virtual assistant and notary public who helps professionals elevate their lives through delegation.
I am a Chef Manager turned Virtual Assistant, makes sense right? Stay with me… My start in this wonderful world of work began after I had my son. I knew I needed to be able to spend more time with him and my previous position rarely offered flexibility in schedule. This led me down the crazy path of “work from home” jobs and I discovered the world of virtual assistance. I started by taking on project-based tasks from clients and officially decided to commit to this new career path shortly after. It has been such a rewarding experience. I get to use my skills from over 10 years of foodservice management to help entrepreneurs grow their businesses as a freelancer!
Virtual Assistance – The Farmgirl Way!
I know what you are probably thinking: “How does experience in animal science and food service management translate to project management skills?” I’m confident that I possess a set of skills and traits that could be beneficial to any business.
Competitiveness. Athletes have nothing on a farmgirl’s competitive spirit. Only someone who has devoted 100% of their energy to raising the world’s happiest and healthiest cows – and had their efforts judged during 4-H, FFA, and MJHA events – can truly understand what it means to want to succeed.
Collaboration. Working with others on a farm as well as on professional kitchen teams requires excellent communication and collaboration skills. Which is why I prioritize working alongside my clients and learning from others in my network in order to provide the best possible experience with the services I offer.
Adaptability. When you are raised in a constantly evolving industry, you learn that change isn’t the exception. It is the rule! As such, I continually seek ways I can assist my clients with their struggles in order to make them more profitable and less stressed!
Reliability. I have built a reliable work ethic by learning from my background experiences on the farm and in professional kitchens. From milking cows to meeting food truck deadlines, I understand that reliable performance is essential for success. My dependable nature and commitment to meeting deadlines will help ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Passion. “If it’s not fun, why do it?” Ben & Jerry’s motto isn’t just relevant to dairy industry professionals. It’s something everyone should take to heart – and indeed I do! Regardless of whether I’m helping my clients succeed in agriculture, E-commerce, real estate, or any other enterprise, their success is my success.
Don’t miss the rare opportunity to put a Minnesota dairy farmer’s daughter to work by collaborating with your company. I am here to help you “Delegate to Elevate”.
Everything is hard before it is easy.
As a working mother, I know that women can be both professionally ambitious and deeply committed to their families.
Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.
I would like to be remembered as someone who used whatever talent she had to do her work to the very best of her ability.
